Run a Grower Node before anyone else.

Help test Sprout before launch. You'll get a Grower Node license, run it from your phone or computer, and collect the five colors, all with free test SOL.

No real money. The beta runs on Solana devnet, a test network. Test SOL is free and has no value, and beta earnings are test points, not real $SPROUT. About 10 minutes to set up.

  1. Get Phantom

    Install the Phantom wallet app on your phone (iPhone or Android) and create a wallet. Write your recovery phrase on paper and never share it with anyone, including us.

  2. Switch Phantom to test mode

    1. Tap your profile picture (top left), then Settings.
    2. Open Developer Settings and turn on Testnet Mode.
    3. Under Solana, choose Solana Devnet.

    Tip: Phantom now says "You are currently in Testnet Mode". Turn it off later to see your real wallet again.

  3. Get free test SOL

    1. In Phantom, tap Receive and copy your Solana address.
    2. Open the Solana faucet, choose Devnet, paste your address and pick 2.5.
    3. Tap Confirm Airdrop. The faucet asks you to sign in with a free GitHub account the first time.

    Tip: if Phantom shows "–" instead of a balance, close and reopen Phantom. Each license costs 0.5 test SOL, so 2.5 gets you all five colors.

  4. Get your first license

    1. In Phantom, tap the Explore 🌐 tab and open sprouttoken.netlify.app/app.
    2. Tap Buy, then Select Wallet → Phantom → Connect.
    3. Tick the box and tap Confirm & Pay, then approve in Phantom.

    Your first license is a green Seedling. Buy again and you get Bloom, then Canopy, Grove and gold Evergreen.

  5. Run your node

    On your phone: open the Run tab, tap Start node and sign the free message. Keep the page open with the screen on, because phones pause pages in the background.

    On your computer (best): install the Sprout Node desktop app, click Pair this computer and scan the QR code with your phone camera. It then runs all day from the taskbar.

    Windows warning? The app isn't code-signed yet, so Windows says "protected your PC". Click More info → Run anyway.

  6. Say hi to the Growers

    Open the Lounge tab to chat with other license holders. It's a group chat only: the Sprout team will never DM you or ask for your recovery phrase.

    Then open Nodes to see your colors, uptime and test earnings. Post a screenshot on X and tag @Sproutbeginning. Bug reports help the most.

Questions

Is this real money?

No. The beta runs on Solana devnet. Test SOL is free from the faucet and can't be sold or swapped. Never send real SOL to anything in the beta.

Do beta earnings turn into real $SPROUT?

No. Beta earnings are test points that show how the node rewards will work. They can't be claimed or withdrawn. We'd like to thank active early testers when $SPROUT launches, and we'll share the details publicly before then. Nothing is promised.

What does the node actually do?

Right now it proves it's online once a minute, and that's what we're testing. Storing and serving files for the Sprout network comes in a later version.

Phantom says "Failed to simulate" when I pay

Phantom usually hasn't loaded your test balance yet. Close the popup, close and reopen Phantom, check your balance shows, then try again. If you already own all five colors, there's nothing left to buy.

When is the real launch?

$SPROUT launches on 27 January 2027. The real Grower Node sale comes after that. Follow @Sproutbeginning for the official link, and only trust links posted there.
